Originally chartered as Schodack Union Lodge No. 87 on December 1st, 1841, Van Rensselaer Lodge is currently located in East Greenbush, NY on Columbia Turnpike. VR 87 is one of 9 lodges belonging to the Albany Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of New York.

We meet regularly on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at 7:30 PM. There is almost always an excellent dinner served at 6:30 PM, prior to our meeting.

Generally for the months of June, July and August we are "dark" (meaning there are no scheduled meetings.) However, you will find we are still busy with other activities like our family picnic.
